When I have my Audio control 6xs running to my fosgate 400a4 that runs my mids I have engine noise. Although, when I have only the amp running to the mids, there is no noise. Ihave a good ground that is less than 1ft. long and everything I am running is connected to the same ground. I checked the 6xs to make sure its chassis wasen't  grounded and I just don't know what else to check. Please help!!!!!

I also have 2 loud thumps in succession from my subs when the stereo is turned on because I start the car. Although, there are no thumps if  the stereo is off when I turn on the car and then I turn the stereo on. All of this is happening when I have the Audio control 6xs hooked up and disappears when eliminate the 6xs. I was thinking I have a delayed turn on, which I think I do, but  I don't understand how it disappears without the crossover. I assumed the delayed turn on would produce a thump even without the 6xs. Then, just to clarify, the 6xs and everything else is brand new with the exception of my subs.
