Alright i heard that it doesnt matter what shape u make ur box for your subs its just that u need the right amount of airspace. is this true? I have been thinking of a cool box to build but its a very funny shape. also this box is going to be ported how do u tune a sqare port? is there any formula to doing this or do i juts kinda experiment? these are all my questions for now ill be back wit more. Thanks.

                   Wes                   o also i entered my first spl contest this weekend just for fun. wit two hollywood excursion 15's a 4 foot sealed box and a 800 watt amp i scored a 137.1 I dont thnk thats too bad for only payin 80 bucks for everything lol

In general it does not matter what shape the enclosure is, although some shapes sound a LOT better than others.  If you are good with wood working and don't mind experimenting, then go for it.  Just avoid the perfect square at all costs to minimize standing waves and phase concellation inside the enclosure.
