Hello,

I have a 96 Honda Civic.  I want to install an aftermarket cd player to replace the factory installed radio, but the factory radio harness is connected with the factory alarm system.  What can I do to install a cd player and keep the factory alarm function?  Many thanks!

use a forward and revers harness to wire up your aftermarket radio and the power, switched, and ground to your factory radio and mount your aftermarket in the stock spot   and shove the factory deck in the dash...it will fit behind the center console in the dash close to the floorboard...this keeps your factory keyless functions and allows you to use a new deck

We have a harness just for this car. It is Metra part# 70-1720T. This is nicer than doing the forward and reverse harness as there are less wires to connect and the wires on it are a little longer. Those longer wires help a lot on that car.
