I have a 12" JL Audio W0 sub. I want to buy any one of these alpine amps for it. I know they would be a pretty good match for my sub and i have heard they sound great. All I need to know is which one and specs. Here are the ones i have found: My first choice I think would be this one. Or any of these?: number two, three, four. Any other finds on ebay or ideas are welcome! By the way why do most of these amps have two power and ground leads? do you hook them both up to the same?

Snicker, that first amp was rated at 18watts x2 back in the day, I loved that amp, it sold for $99.00 back then. It is not bridgeable. No soup for you.

Number 2 looks to be the same amp, number three is rated at 25 or 30w a2, it is bridgeable to 70 w or 100 rms x1, it would work OK. The last amp is a way old 18 year old model and is the biggest of the three. Should it fail, forget about getting it fixed. i cannot remember if it is bridgeable or not and my old Alpine binder is hidden away, I can't find it. I would suggest that none of these would be in your best interest.

what about for powering some speakers in 2 channel mode? I was looking at this one for powering all four of my speakers maybe. I would just be using it for factory speakers or some low priced coaxials.

One more question, could i bridge the rear channels for the subs and use the front channels for my front speakers? If so would I still get enough output? thx for all help in advance.

Use the larger of the newer amps, number 3 I think it was, it looks like the 3513 model. It powers speakers not too bad at all, but will underpower most subs.

So I shouldn't buy the four channel? If I shouldn't then what about this one:  3522

3522 was rated at either 25 or 30 w rms x 2. It is an Ok little amp for front speakers.

Sorry dude I missed the 3552 picture, it would be the best bet. It's rated at 30w rms x 4 and underrated at that. It was one of the last good amps that they made. I would definitley use the 4 channel to power the fronts and a small sub.

what if i wanted to use only the front or rear channels just for my sub. I have factory speakers and i donnt think they would like this amp(unless its just me). Would doing this hurt the amp?

This amp will be fine for the factory speakers. Use it to power the fronts and one sub.

Ok. Just curious, would anything happen if I didn't use a set of its channels temporarily or somethiing? I don't think it would, just making sure though.

You do not have to use all channels, nothing will happen to the amp if you do.
