Hello,
I've already tried using the search function for over 1 hr, but it didn't help at all.
I'm planning to install an amp in my 1998 Suburban and I need to run the 4 guage power wire from the battery into the car. I can't seem to find a firewall where I can lead the wire into the car. Can somebody tell me where is the best place to run the power wire from the battery into the car?
Thanks in advance.

try looking above the fuse and relay panel that sticks out by the drivers kickpanel. Up and to the left you should see where all the cars electrical wires go through the fire wall. Now just a little up and to the right you should have a blank space (there might be a pre-cut part of the floor there already) if so pull that off remove the foam behind it and then you should be safe to drill a decent size hole there.
I have same year and suburban. Try looking on the wall seperating the vehicle from the engine compartment on the side you want to run the wire. I found a hole for my power wire to run through that was already there, above the pedals to the left a little bit. It worked perfect because it was close to where the carpet starts so I could just start running it under the trim. I dont know if your suburban has this hole or not but you can easily make one or make one bigger. Just make sure you don't drill through anything of course. Also if you do find the hole im talking about you will definitely have to drill it bigger because i'm only running 10 gauge power cable and it barely fit.
