I blew my old Audiobahns and a friend recommended Image Dynamics for what Im willing to pay. So Im looking at the ID12V.2 Dual 4ohm 250/500w or IDQ12V.2 Dual 4 ohm 350/700w. This system will be for personal enjoyment. Problem is I dont know which sub to get and how to wire it. Obviously it will depend on what Im going to push them with. So help me choose a sub and wire it. I have a PPI 2360 that runs 360 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms, or 180 watts rms at 2 ohms X 2. I know I should be pushing them with a bigger amp but I have to run what I have because a bigger amp is out of the question right now. So how should I run the 2 subs to get the most out of them and my amp.

Since they're dual 4ohm subs, and you'll be running 2 of them, wire each sub to it's own channel in parallel. That will present a 2 ohm load to each channel, and produce the 180 x 2 @ 2ohms rating.

Or you could wire them in series/parallel and bridge for the 360 x 1 @ 4ohms rating (which still equates to 180 watts per sub).

Will there be any difference in terms of what kind of bass I will get from 2 ohms as opposed to 4 ohms?

Your amp requires a 4-ohm load if it is bridged. If you wire the subs at 2-ohms you must run them in stereo to the amp. 2-channels at 2-ohms = one bridged channel at 4-ohms.

Some amps provide higher output when bridged then when running in stereo. Your "specs" show identical peak outputs from running stereo and Mono (total output wise I mean) 180x2@2ohms is 180 watts per sub, 360x1@4ohms using 2 subs is still 180 watts per sub. My suggestion is to try it both ways and keep the way you like best. You may hear a difference, you may not.
