This might be an obvious answer, but I have rarely dealt with Pioneer.  I had a customer bring a Pioneer FM903XM add on FM mod XM radio in to be installed about 8 months ago.  Pretty easy install, nice unit.  Yesterday, he comes by with a Pioneer DEH-P7600MP in dash CD player and I install it.  It is also XM ready.  I know the Alpine FM mod is compatible with a XM deck or FM, is the Pioneer?  I guess what I am asking is can I plug the FM903XM into the deck?  Is there another cable that I need?  or is he going to have to buy a new XM unit.

Thanks for the help!!

Just disconnect the ipbus cable going into the XM Radio FM Modulator systema and plug it into the 7600's ip bus connector. If he doesn't have the cable i can get you one or obtain one locally. Alls he needs is the ipbus cable.

Thanks eespro.  Not in a big Pioneer country around here, except Wal-Mart. If I remember right, it is just a small wire that plugs into the brain of the XM radio via a headphone like jack.  How can I go about ordering the ipbus cable from you, and how much?

I mostly deal with Clarion and Alpine.  Is the ipbus like the Ce-net is with Clarion?
