I want to run a 1200 watt mono class d amp to these subs. I will have them wired down to 1 ohm so they will get 600watt rms to each of them. Alpine recomends 300rms max but the max power is 1000watts. Will running twice the recommended rms power (600) be bad for the subs. I have heard that these subs can take some power though.

if it is a good clean amp you should be fine, the life may be shortened on the subs a little bit but those subs can definately take some power. i put 500wrms to each of mine and it sounded great with out any distortion.
