hey guys, i have 2 memphis 1000d amps, one is made in 20003 and one is made in 2004, they are both mc1000d's, will it matter if there made in a different year if i hook them up together???

Probably not, they should be the same, but hook them up together = bad idea, use both  = good idea.

You can use the 16-MC1000D's in bridged pairs, you must buy the bridging module from memphis and the amps can't be used with less than a 2 ohm load.  The fact that they are from different years does not matter the only change that memphis made to the amps from 2002 and 2003 is the exterior "gun metal" finish, the guts of the amps are the same.

what if i just hook 1 amp up to each voice coil, the sub is dual 2 ohm, so if i put one on each side would that be the best thing to do????
