Perhaps when you changed the wiring you accidentally changed your woofers phase. if you wired them out of phase you would notice a major decrease in output.

Switch the positive and negative on one of the subs.

I'm guesing your amp is bridged right now so its outputting about 400 watts RMS at most. I'm also guesing that your second amp is a 4 channel powering your mids and highs which probobly outputs around 40 to 60 watts X 4. Do your headlights dim when you play your music at night? If so your charging system might not be able to handle all of your amps.

Hey bang, do this. Put it back like it sounds like crap. Turn it up to where your pushing your subs good. Now take you balance adjustment and move it all the way to one side, then the other. If it starts hitting good on either side but goes away when you bring it back to center then you are out of phase somewhere. Its very easy to have a positive and negative backward.

i wired the ground wire for both amps to the same chasis  "same bolt" would that have an effect?

also wen i wired up the 2 amps. only one of the amps was hooked up to subs, the other amp i just left it to see if it works grreeat... but it iddn't so i just took everything down.

also. does the amp kit all have to be the same brand, cuz i had monster amp kit

then i bought the 4 guage amp kit and it was a generic brand name called "c4"

i left the remote wire and the rca wire as the monster cable amp,

all i did was take the 4guage power wire, and the 4 guage ground wire. and a lightning audio distribution block

That might be it.. try this.. Wire it with your 4 gauge. then only have your 2Chanell amp grounded and try it then. Dont worry about the 4 channel yet. If your system rocks then try putting the 4 channel in another ground.. Make sure to sand out any paint chips..lol.

ok i'll try that but maybe next week lolz. i'm scurrred to mess with my system right now cuz  it was a hassel to take it apart and stuff.

i'll do it pretty soon. oh yeah i dont have 4 channel amp its a 2 channel  on both amps. thanks

there is no paint  on the thingy ma jig yeah it could be the ground wire.. hey i think ur right!! i'm gonna try that ....

Also consider your ohm loading, if you have 4 ohm DVC subs, then you dont want to bridge them on the amplifier, you want to run a stereo load because you are running a 2 ohm load, if you run it briged on the amp, it throws the ohm load all wacked and may sound like crap, if it is indeed DVC subs, you may just want to look into getting one amplifier just with more power, for the simple fact, you only need two channels, and a 2 ohm stable amp.
