I tried installing my cd player and everything worked but the volume. I have a volume switch up on the dash and I think that might have something to do with it. Do I have to get a special adapter or how do I wire it.

Yes you would need a special adapter to make that work but I do not think you will want to spend the money just to get that to work. Last time I checked the adapters were about $60. here in the Orlando area. Plus you will have to have to have a radio with a remote control to program it.
