Can you use Monster Cable RCA home theatre cables instead of Monster Cable for the car? They are both RCA's.. I would assume you could use any RCA's from Monster?. Am I correct? Reason being, I have some brand new Monster Cable RCA's.. but meant for home.

Clean Install is right, any RCA cable will work on any RCA plug... Some cables will be more shielded, and are made out of more conductive material, I think Car audio RCA's usually have more shielding... Those RCA's will work fine though.

shielding may be an issue. If you get any sort of noise in the system, try changing them

Shielding is definitely an issue, but you should be ok with the Monsters. A big concern with home audio cables is bending them around curves though. Most home cables will change their impedance and sound different when bent and in really tight turns they can even break. Try to keep them as straight as possible. I'm being anal-retentive here, but if you are putting home audio cables in a car, that should be your only reason for doing so, being anal-retentive.

True, RCA is RCA but the wire is the difference, not just the plug at both ends. Wires that are designed for cars have extra strength features and wont react with the elements such as oil and heat and oxygen etc that might harm the wires that are designed for home use where you dont have these enemies attacking your cables. I've personally played with both types, and ended up paying about $180 for my RCA cables alone. They're well worth the investment I would say.
