finally! got all the parts to my system, need some help on this sub wiring though.

I got 2 alpine type R 12", they are the 4ohm DVC's

My question :

should i run a 1ohm load? or a 4ohm load? which one will i get more power out of? which one's safer?

The amp is a PG zx600ti 2 channel, rated ~650watts.

thanks.

since this amp isnt 1ohm compatible. go with 4ohm. and bridge it, with the subs wired in series parrallel. 1ohm is more powerful, but since the amp isnt 1ohm compatible. it'll cut out while playing. 4ohm is safer and normal for all amps. you'll be safe with this.

From the info I've read, you will want to present a 2 ohm load to each channel, as the amp will push 300 watts RMS x 2 when each channel sees 2 ohms. So wire each sub in parallel, then connect each sub to their own channel. Here's a pic of a parallel wired DVC sub. And by the way, nice gear.
