What is the remote wire color on a stock 02 cougars radio. I am sick of using the switch. Tried running it from the radio fuse and when i do that that amp will not turn off.

Your accessory wire should be YELLOW /GREEN from the factory deck. you can use that for your remote wire but the best thing to do is hook up a volt meter to the wire and turn your key to acc and if it reads 12v, good but make sure when you turn it off, the voltage drops to zero. Hope that helps...
