I have a 2004 GMC Yukon without Onstar or an upgraded radio.  I am trying to install an aftermarket CD player and ran into a problem with the wiring harness.  The factory wiring does not include a switched 12V power wire(accessory wire).  There is a ground wire and a constant 12V battery wire but no accessory wire.  I've tried to find a good wire in the dash somewhere but haven't had any luck.  Does anyone know of a good wire to splice into?  Anyone know what color it would be?  Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Billy

You can buy the class 2 data interface for that and it will supply you the switched 12v and also retain the door chime. PAC makes what you need. I believe Metra also has it.

Does the Yukon have the Bose amplified sound system?  Also, look at a prior thread labeled "2000 Cavalier stock stereo". That will give you some insight into your class 2 data vehicle.
