Is it bad to put a Neon tube light in and enclosed sub box?

I figured the air pressure and temp (if any) might be bad for the sub or neon -

not trying to shatter any glass or cause any fires ya know

Its perfectly fine to put neons inside the box. Good neon lights have a very durable plastic (I believe it's lexan), and are very resistant to pressure. I had them in my sealed enclosure and I never had any problems with them. Also, make sure that the holes you fish your wires through are completely sealed after.
