I have some q's and any help would be appreciated. so heres what i have for the bass in my car.
Lanzar vibe 1600 watt amp
2 x 400 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms 2 x 800 Watts Max at 4 Ohms 1 x 1600 Watts Max at 4 Ohms Bridged 2 x 650 Watts at 2 Ohms Electronic Crossover Network Bass Boost Circuit Bridgeable at 4 Ohms 2 Ohms Stereo Stable Tri-Mode Capable Gold RCA Inputs Line Outs For Left & Right Channels. Power & Protection LED Indicators Advanced Protection Circuitry Soft Turn On/Off Remote Control Bass Booster I know i will not get full effencicy from this amp but how how many watts do you think it will actually put out? I am thinking to run it at 4 ohms briged because i have 2 of these:
Bazooka 12" dual voice coil
How do you think i should wire this up? Should i go ported or sealed? i am fiberglassing these into the trunk. What guage wire do i need to run from the amp to the subs? is regular speaker wire ok?
Although the amp it 2 ohm stereo stable, would it make sense to run it in 4 ohm briged to not work it as hard. Finally do you think this will pound?
Ported will be louder and deeper....sealed will be tighter. Get some 16 awg wire that should be fine. I don't think you will be breaking any spl records but you may get something out of this setup.

Rookie of the year that is...
Don't let the smoke out of your equiptment..it doesn't go back in.
I would build it as a sealed box and see how it sounds. It can always be made into a larger ported enclosure if need be. 12 - 16 gauge for speaker wire should be fine. 4 ohm mono is a good way to run the amp when two subs are sharing the same airspace.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
so 4 ohm briged. anyone agree/disagree?
when i port it do i make a wall in the middle or do i just have 2 ports in the same area? I guess 4 ohm is what i am going to do.
