yank the stock HU out. Wire it using the12volt color codes for your specific vehicle. Put it back in.

Since you already have an after-market HU in your car, you should be able to swap it fairly easily. If this is a stock HU, get the proper wiring harness adapter for your car before you begin. Metra 70-1720 and the dash kit if you need it is (I believe) 99-7892.

Yes, you can simply swap the important wires like: +12V battery; Switched +12V; speakers (shuld be eight wires for four speakers); Remote turn-on; ground. That will allow the HU to function. Before you begin, pull the positive battery cable off your battery. If there are RCA connections, these are also easily swapped.

1 frarad is for 1000watt systems so half that would be 500 w system. i have those p5 red stop sign shaped subs. 2 12's. i have the new sony amp 1600w mono amp to the same shape as the sub. i have read that getting a bigger alt would be better than getting a cap. but i'm gunna get a new alt a new battery an 2, 1 frarad caps also. but man my sh*t bangs pretty good. my friend, has blown his tens a lot. he has the same red sonys too, but 10's. but i've boughten sony for so long i want something diff now. but if u like sony then bang bang go for it. i've a lot of your posts an u crack me up foe real. but ya i hope that helps ya.

ya i use both those subs for that one amp. i dropped down the ohm load on the subs to 2ohms an it hit cleaner an harder. rockfordfosgate caps i've seen are really good. i would get the digital ones. so u can see how much power u r getting to them.(the caps) but the sell the 1 frarad caps at best buy for almost 160 $ i looked on ebay u can get a whole set up with two of the 1 frarad caps plus a digitalreader plus wires an washers for like 260. but if your like me your ballin on a budget so. it's up to u. those caps i just told u about on ebay are rockfords too.
