I have spent 4 weeks now trying to order, locate, find or meet someone who actually has seen one of these cables. even RF themselfs are playing stupid with me, sometime in the next 3 months I might vbe able to order one. There amps are about to go on ebay because I cant sync two like I was told I could.

CAN someone please give me the SIMPLE 6 pin DIN wiring layout, I can make a six pin din in NO TIME< I need to simply know 1-1 goes to 2-x, 1-2 goes to 2-x, 1-3 goest to 2-x, etc, etc...

THANKS for someone doing Rockfords job for them, you think someone could walk over to engineering and ask the layout question, guess idiots work the forum over there....

Thanks again....

I found the actual cable here. https://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10016281&catid=19711&atab=2&spviewed=&logon=&langid=EN&dept=2&WLBS=fs%2Dweb1

i dont know if you will be able to find a wiring layout to make your own.

Well, I was so pissed at Rockford Fosgate that I really didnt care if I blew the amps, RF sold me products that they make getting accessories for impossible, I really WILL NEVER deal with them again, so I took a chance anyway to see about making the bdsync cable, since NO one in the internet world had any information on it, I simply "broke" off the internal alignment tab from a generic SVideo Mini din, and plugged it into my two bd1000 amps, wire 1 amp positive to a speakers +, the same amps - crossed over to the 2nd amps +, and the 2nd amps - over to the speaker. Hooked up remotes, set the phase 180 on the 2nd amp to ON, set the gains the same, and sent power to the damn thing. I had bass output, so I guess I took at 600.00 dollar chance, but like I said I was so pissed, if I blew them, I wouldnt mind replacing them with some other company amps that dont make vapor ware and have crappy support techs. My RF's were bought at FULL retail at a local authorized shop , and still no support. SO screw um, (did I mention how pissed I was at RF?). Anyways, since no one else has any info, if over the next few weeks the units continue to run and dont smoke, I will let you all know so that if any other poor sap gets stuck with the two amps sold to them with the bdsync deployed, they know they can grap a 6.00 svideo cable rather than pay (opps) attempt to pay for 2 months 35.00 bucks for a bdsync cable.

Later

The one shop in town has 3 in stock but they said they have done the same thing as you, they took an svid cable and adapted it to fit the amps and it works fine.

Ravendarat, care to pick one up and make a sale to me on it? I'd feel a little more comfortable have a real on to continuity test for the correct pin out. I posted another message here about Modded RF BD series amps, seems there is a internal modification that some call cheating (Im not compeating, so null to me) that will stabalize the 2 ohm bd series to run at 1 ohm loads, looking for info on that, but if it is true, it makes the amps have more value to me, and then that makes a real bdsync cable have more value as well.

Thanks, anyone else with info on this mod, please speak up.

thanks

yeah, i had one of my rockford amps stolen, and the insurance replaced it for me and sent me to a shop to have the work done, and i asked them if they were an authorized dealer for kenwood and rockford, all yes. so 3 months later my amp just takes a crap and i call rockford. they said it would cost me $70 just to have my amp looked at by them, even if it was under warranty, not to mention that i would have to pay shipping.

needless to say i use MTX amps now...

I have to point out that when you use a bd sync cable on an a set of amps it makes the pair only stable to 4 ohms not 2. So if you wanna sync them make sure you can run 4 ohms. Ill check on the price of the cable and get back to you.

I know, I have my three 3112's wired to present a 3ohm load. I've been told that although this isn't 4ohm, its not a issue with the 500cfm of fan I am suppling and that its close enough, not like its wired at 1.34 ohms or anything... ;)
