it says that it needs 150 amp fuse an fuse holder, i didn't kno they got that high. is that for the fuse that is for the power cable that goes to the amp. or is that what goes on the amp directly. an if it is for the power cable that goes into the amp, then were would i find a 150 fuse an fuse holder. also it says i need a 4 gauge power an ground cable. info would be nice. thanks.

You need to run a 4 gauge power wire from the battery to the back and have that wire fused under the hood. You can get a ANL fuse holder with a 150 amp fuse. I would use a 4 gauge wire for the ground as well. Just find a nice solid ground for the amp. By the way, they make ANL fuses as high as 300 amps.(not recomended for your setup!)

Actually 4awg wouldn't be enough for that amp. You should run two awg. or better. That is a current hungry amp.

Yep.2 would be better. It's pretty pricey, but its way worth it. If I had that amp, I would run 2 gauge power, and 2 gauge ground. You can pick up a 150 anl fuse, and fuse holder for around 15-20 bucks at most REAL car audio joints. (not best buy) I hope you have an upgraded alt. You're gonna need one. Enjoy.

how much would an alt cost me. what kind of ho would i need. i want to do it right the first time than have some thing go wrong down the road then pay more money. i got an 86 cutty 307 olds 5.0 in my car.

i'd say somewhere around 200 or more. if its asking for a 150 amp fuse, that means it should be drawing around that much current all the time. so, 150 amps of so for the amp alone, then whatever the car needs, which should be around 60-80. so, if u can find a 255-250 amp alternator, you should be good with that. ------------- 1990 Honda Civic HB:

well, we sell 2 gauge @ $3/ft and 4 gauge @ $1.75/ft at our store.
