has anyone listened to JBL speakers?? i know they are the same company as Infinity but do they sound 1/2 as good? i know they will be better than wut i have but if they are almost as good as infinitys ill buy them andsave a good bit of $$$

JBL makes fantastic speakers.  They are not the same as Infinity, even though the two companies are both owned by the Harmon Group.  JBL and Infinity are designed by entirely different teams and manufactured in entirely different locations (countries, too.)

In my opinion, JBL outclasses Infinity, especially their subs.  Infinity Kappa 5X7 (572.5cf) outclasses Alpine Type R.
