Hi guys, I have purchsed the avh-p6000 from the U.S, uk models dont have this parking brake cable! however my U.S model has this parking brekae cable therefore I am wondering will I need to connect this up?

If I do then  I can only turn it on when car is stationary :-(((( anyone suggest an alternative method? or maybe I dont even need to wire it up to the parking brake at all!

Thanks in advance!

ground the wire for parking brake, then it will work whenever you want it to

Hi Ravendarat,

when you say ground the parking brake, the wire from the pioneer harness is green and has a switch on it, the switch then has a ground cable running from it?, the instructions tell me to connect the green wire to the parking brake cable with a scotch connector and connect the ground cable from the switch to the chassis!

Thanks

If you do that then it will only work with the ebrake on. If you just ground the green wire than it will work whenever you want it to
