I just built a new box for three tens, 34x16x8.

The speaker terminals seem to leak in the middle, I put silicone around the cutout before i installed them, so i dont think it is coming from around the edges.  Anyone have any experience with this? Are they possibly just cheap terminals, or installed wrong. I was thinking about putting bondo over them on the outside of the box to seal it off.

thanks

On my box on all cracks a open holes I used "Beats the Nail" my local car audio shop recommends it and now I do to.  You'll find it by silicone caulking

I just make the hole small enough to get the wire through..I haven't had a problem with it yet.

Yes but sometimes there is wire with preinstalled terminals you need the hole big enough for the terminals not just the wires

I usually fill the sides of the terminal from the inside with liquid nails. I cover it to the top where the two prongs are exposed and there is no leak. Just make sure that you don't put any on the prongs itself then you should be okay.

when building boxes sealant is your  best friend, for all of those imprefections or holes you seem to find after the fact.

Sealant is the best invention for us audio freaks... it can be a huge difference even if its only a small air leak
