Zup Fam -

I'm kinda of mind boggled with all the RMS, MAX ratings and endless wiring configurations -

I've decided to wire these 2 SoloBarics "parallel" -  for a 2omh load. These are in an enclosed box (.72cf) (non-ported) As we know, the have a 600watts RMS. 1200max (each)

I want to push them to at least the upper third of their RMS -

Can some suggest a proper kick-ass AMP for the job - ?

I'd like to get some feedback on the most effective one before purchasing - I'm open to all suggestions but also wanted to know which of the kicker amps I can use -

thanks in advance  -

it was suggested in another theard the jbl 1200.1 that should work just great for you , but check what the others think....

also you will run them in either a 1 or 4 ohm load.....with the jbl its stable at one ohm

Thanks for the advise & offers -

I went with the Rockford Fosgate 1051S Power Amplifier 1050Watt 2CH Amp

  • 265 W X 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS
  • 525 W X 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS
  • 1050 W X 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS
  • 50-250Hz 24dB variable HP/AP/LP crossover
  • RCA Inputs, pass thru outputs
  • Remote Punch Bass control in a silver cast aluminum heatsink
  • This will ROCK the Kicker S10L7's  @ 2omhs -  (75 watts short of the Sub's 600watt RMS rating)

For the components I went with the Kicker KX350.4 -

i think the jbl will suit u the best for the maney about $275. What is your budget for an amp that will give us a better idea but the jbl will be the best bang for the buck i actually had a jbl 600.1 pushing an s12l7 and it about made my ears bleed in my maro

It's easy to blow an L7 with a 600.1.  The L7 is rated at 750 wrms, but I believe that is really over-rated by about 100 watts.  I have never liked L7's and think they are not nearly as good or as efficient as they are cracked up to be.  The JBL 600.1 puts out a clean 600 watts into 2 ohms all day long, and will easily hit 800 or 900 on peak excursions without blowing it's fuses.  If the amp is clipping at, say, 25% (which is easy to do if you have the gain too high, and you may not hear it in low sub frequencies) it'll pump 750 to 800 watts DC into the sub.  This will fry it, guaranteed, and the amp will say "What, was that my fault?"
