Ok i have a pioneer premier headunit in my car, I just purchased an in dash dvd player for my car, and a 6" tft active matrix stand monitor. the dvd player has rca outs on it so i am going to run the audio to the aux input of the deck and i am going to run the video to the monitor. How do i go about powering the monitor and the dvd player?? Should i run a power wire from the 12v constant?, or from the ignition?, under the steering wheel, and branch it out to both and just have a 30 amp fuse before the branch>??Or should i just t-tap into the power that powers my deck>?I am going to t-tap into the memory wire for my deck but should i t-tap the power to or just run a different wire with a fuse breaker?? Any other ideas are greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks For The Help,

Brian

I wouldn't recommend using t-taps at all, they tend to move around and loose connections.  I would run it all from your head unit.  This way once your HU is on you have power to your screen and dvd player.  Each component should have it 's on inline fuse so there isn't a need to change out any fuses.  You can also use relays to turn these extras if you like.

Thanks,

No, none of your accy pull that much current.  A butt connector will do fine.
