It is possible you have one voice coil out of phase.

You say these subs are dual voice coil.  How are the SECOND voice coils connected?

I think thats your problem is that you need to wire the second voice coils....

what are the speakers ohm rating? and the amp what is it stable at ?

since you have 2 4ohm dvc you can either wire them like:

2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel
Connecting the two voice coils of each driver in series (+ to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result in the following impedances:
Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofer: 4 Ohms

OR

2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Parallel / Parallel Connecting the voice coils ofeach driver in parallel (+ to +, - to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result in the following impedances:
Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofers: 1 Ohm (if your amp is 1 ohm stable )

You must always wire both voice coils.  DO NOT OPERATE YOUR SYSTEM until you connect it up correctly, unless you don't mind buying new subs soon.

Your Sony amp can be bridged into a 4-ohm load.  WIRE your systm as Clean Install shows in teh first image above: SERIES/PARALLEL at 4 ohms.  If you do not understand this, then PLEASE go to a shop and get some friggin' HELP.

Bang Bang, I have no idea who you are, but you seem to ask the same questions over and over, which leads me to believe you don't listen very well.  GET HELP from a pro in your area if what we post here makes no sense to you.
