I just bought a JL Audio 12w3v2 subwoofer and a pair of JL Audio XR650-CX component speakers to put in my car. I am undecided however about the amplifier to go with them. I don't have much space and am looking to buy only one amp to go with the system. I was thinking of the 500/5...what are your thoughts

the 500/5 I was referring to is the JL Audio 500/5.

500/5 is a great amp, can't go wrong with JL. Also look at the Memphis Belle or the Soundstream TR800/5. I've also seen the Phoenix Gold Octane R 9.0:5 and was impressed by it as a good quality 5-channel amp.

Id stick with the JL amps... keeping brands the same is always good because they were tested together when built so they should work together perfect
