Just put in the new Pioneer Avic-N1 in dash cd/dvd/nav unit.  It has this really annoying beep every time you hit a button.  Ive went through all the menus and cant figure out how to turn off the beep.  Anybody know how???

Sorry to get off the subject, but how do you like the avic-n1?  I'm about to get one and just wanted to hear some opinions on it.  Thanks!

I hate annoying beeps, they are a scourge to be wiped out just like Bose. If I was a Pioneer dealer I would be glad to help.

I know for sure you can turn the beeps off but I cant remember exactly how to do it right now. I think you must turn the deck off then hold down one of the buttons on the face for like 5 seconds and you will get into a set up menu, but like I said I cant remember for sure. I am going into work tomorrow and I can check and get back to you.

Go to the navigation settings screen.  There is a "harware volume" button.  That gives you the option of changing the voice volume and the beep volume (seperately).
