stay away from sony i know that for sure....i know the alpine type r subs are good, so i would assume the compents are also, dont know about the others. I just use diamond audio stuff for my mids and highs.

Of the ones you listed, here's my opinion: I like the sound of Alpine S for general listening more than Type R. R's have better mids and highs, but Type S's have more bass extension and tend to sound more natural to my ear. Maybe it's just me. The Infinity would be my first choice, though. The Sony's have good mids and natural sounding voices (probably the best choice for listening to AM radio, actually) but get real flabby at the low end and real shrill at the high end. If you can, listen to them side by side and get the ones that sound best to you

What kind of music do you listen to? Do you have a sub? hey guys thanks alot. i have 3 jl 12w6 in the car right now, and i also have a pair of 3way infinity kappa6x9s and 3 1/2s, thats why i asked about the infinity componets, but i hear that the type r would be goodfor me, i will give them a try. thanks alot guys.
