I'd like to build a great quality sound system on a budget.  I plan on driving a pair of Boston or Focal components in the doors with a 2 channel amp, haven't decided on the brand yet, and two old 12" MTX Subs loaded Isobaric.  I am either thinking of getting an Eclipse CD8454 or a cheaper model Eclipse and a Parametric EQ.

Anyway, does anyone here own or sell the CD8454?  How is the E-iServ feature for smoothing out the frequency response?  Would I be better off spending my money on a parametric eq and getting an installer to tweak the system w/ an RTA?  On a side note, will the 8v pre-outs on that Eclipse harm some cheaper amps I already own for the subs?

Thanks!

The CD8454 is not quite available yet, do yourself a favour and wait for it to come out. No the 8volt preouts will not harm the amplifiers you currently have.
