I had full range speakers  up to my old aqmp, and it never had a whining, only when i hooked up the new amplifier did i recieve the noise. Filters makeit stop, but create a pop and cut out certain frequencies. Would an alternator line filter work ??

Sounds like a grounding issue or bad RCA cables or, since this car is 20 years old, bad spark plug wires or corroded engine ground strap.
