I have a 2001 Sebring 4dr sedan. I am looking to put some 6.5" components into the 6x9 door location. Crutchfield said the door will accept speaker depth of 2.94 inches. I am looking at the Eclipse SC8362 6.5" that lists a speaker depth of 2.875. Can anyone verify Crutchfield's quoted speaker depth? Is the eclipse cutting it too close?

The speaker should be fine. Crutchfield tears apart the makes and modles of cars they list that they find in junkyards and thats where they get their measurements (which are pretty accurate).
