I am thinking about getting a hifonics 1500 watt mono amp. Every review i can find is positive, yet i want the trustworthy opinion of those on this board. let me know if you have had any experience with them. thanks

While I can't give you a review yet, I just bought one. Everything I have read says they are the best bang for the buck available without spending a lot more...I bought the Brutus BX1500D for my 2 Infinity Perfect 10's and the Zeus ZX4000 for Kicker RS6 components.

I cant say how good they are now. Back in the day all I ran was HiFonics untill they quit making their own amps and had this company in California that also made amps for other manuf.'s make them. Now they are probably made overseas like most everything these days. I would bet that they are still good amps though.

Hey bhays,

Can you give us a review when you get the Brutus and Zeus installed. I'm looking for 5 and 6 channel options right now and the Zeus ZX8000 looks pretty good for the prices on the net. ~$250 I'm mainly interested in it's sound quality and lack of hiss or noise. Thanks.

You can't go wrong with a Hifonics amp(XX and Brutus series especially).I have carried HiFonics amps since 1991.Top notch stuff.Watch out for unauthorized web retailers there is no warranty.Russ
