I want to switch out the factory stereo. Does anyone know for sure  what is loses, I hear all the chimes will be lost, If so what chimes are they speaking of besides the door chime. Also it has steering wheel controls I was looking at a pac-audio product that will keep the fuction of the controls has anyone used this and how good does it work,

Thanks everyone.

Tray.

The radio on your truck communicates with other modules on the vehicle through the class II data line; among other things this controls the radio turn-on/off and the reminder chimes. I strongly recommend Metra's GMRC-01 interface module, which supplies a switched power lead(the factory harness doesn't have one) and retains the chimes.
