I need an amp to finish up my budget install. It needs to be around 100 bucks and be able to push at least 350 Watts RMS x 2 at 2ohms.. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

350 X 2 for $100?  Wow, you might be talking used market here... or very low-end amps.  What is this amp intended to power, subs or mains?

It will run my subs. I have 4 subs. they are recommended at 175 Watts Rms. So I was going to run them in parellel... two to each channel. I'm just just trying to get a good budget system going so I can later on upgrade to better stuff later on...

ya I have never heard of an amp for 100 bucks that is gonna produce a total of 700 watts rms. Im thinking you should look at used stuff. I saw a rockford 1000 bd on ebay for about 187 bucks. That would probally be your best bet.

Well, I have a Legacy LA2080 Amp and a Crunch Drive Series DS-2400. Would any of these do the job for me because I need around 350 x 2 at 2ohms or a little less because my subs can handle up to 174 Watts RMS so I can afford to go a little under 350... I guess. I don't know the specs on those amps though... if anyone thinks that these would work please help me out...

I meant that my subs can handle 175 watts RMS... plus if either one of those amps would work that would be great because I just have those laying around the house.

That Crunch amp is not a bad entry-level amplifier.  The real rating on it is around 250 watts per channel.  The Legacy is about 200 watts per channel, but the SQ on that thing is so horrid I can't recomend using it for anything.  If I had to choose between the two, I'd try the Crunch (and sell the Legacy to some unsuspecting person on eBay.)  What kind of subs are you trying to power?

Man, to tell you the truth... I really don't know what kind they are... One of my friends was needing money so I have him 90 buck for 4 of them... All he knowed about them was they could handle 175 Watts RMS...lol. Like I said before I'm just putting together a a lil budget system... until I can afford to do better

I don't expect like competition sound from my system... Like I said it is just a lil budget.

JVC KD-LX10 Head Unit   $25
(?)still looking for some component sets
(4) 12' inch subs $90
Crystal 6x9's $19

That's all I have in my system right now... so for the cost it should sound pretty good...

Hook 'em up and give it a try.  Use the Crunch amp.  Bottom line is it will work, although it may not push the subs very hard, and it might not last forever, but hey, go for it and see.  That's what budget systems are all about!

Hey, there's nothing wrong w/ budget systems.  With the proper set-up, you can get a lot of boom-boom for your buck.  Right now i have a Lanzar Vibe 600 W, 2 ch, 2 ohm stereo amp that i got on ebay for like $150 shipped.  It has the lighted guages(one for each channel) and some decent features for the money.  I have used it to power 2 1000W Pyle 12"subs (laugh, laugh, laugh!).  Now it pushing 2  Audiobahn 1051q subs and really POUNDS!  You would NEVER know that I have a cheapo amp powering them.  Pyle Millenium series amps are almost exactly the same and same price.  I have successfully used them in the past.  Shop around, you'll find something!

Cool, setup... Yeah, I mean I added it all up. I will have way under 200 bucks on my entire system... so for the price. It should sound decent. The prize of my system is my Head unit (JVC KD-LX10) that I got for 25 bucks...lol

The key to making a budget system sound good is to not push it to its limits.  Especially amplifiers and subs that "may be" over-rated by the manufacturer.  It is really rare these days to find an amp that cannot sound at least decent at SOME point in its operation range (with the possible exception of Audiovox and "Rampage.")  So set it up with good enclosures for the subs, carefully adjust all the gains to match, and don't try to get more from it than it can give you.  Or, on the other hand, crank it and abuse it and enjoy the smoke when it happens.  It's only $200, after all, and I've installed tweeters that cost more than that for each one.

Yeah, I figured for the money. It should sound decent. I'm not going to push it's limits though. This system has to last a little bit until I can afford a better. one.
