Does anyone know if  I can tap into the rear control wires to feed the changer and still use the rear controls? The Power connector for the unit has two sets of  4 wires the same except  1set is in metal tape w/ grounding wire? This model was only availible w/ in dash 6 changer. The changer i have came out of a 2000 f150. Need help Thanks in advance.

What's the model number on the changer, and what Ford are you putting it in?

The best thing to do is first find out if there is a harness adapter that will enable you to plug it in without tapping into wires.  Search these sites  https://www.metraonline.com/locator.aspx  and  https://www.radiosandmore.com/ford.asp
