I wanted to upgrade a Mercedes C230 system by adding a sub and an amp to the OEM system with no luck.
I connected the amp high impedance input to one of the rear speakers but the BOSE system didn't appreciate the impedence and the volume would vary up and down after a short while.
Then I tried a DEI hi/lo adapter with the same results. posted_image

Anybody have luck adding an amp?

Try taking the input from before the stock BOSE amp, it's in the front left corner of the trunk and has speaker level inputs to it.  Or you could just access the wires behind the radio, it's the same wiring as a VW except the memory and switched wires are reversed.
