Subject: activate aux input, Pioneer P4100?

Hi, All -

Today I attached an aux. RCA input adapter to the IP Bus (for CD changer) port of my Pioneer DEH-P4100. Whether or not an RCA device is plugged into the female receivers, I can't get the receiver to switch to that mode. I've never had a CD changer or another device attached to this location. Is there something I need to do to activate or power the IP Bus/aux input?

Thanks.

Sure is. You need to turn your key on. then turn the pioneer radio off by holding down the source button. then you need to hold down the function button to enter the option mode and scroll through to the aux input and turn it on.

if its jammed force it - if it breaks in the process it needed to be fixed anyway

Thanks very much! I just ran out and tried this - worked like a charm. Too bad these things aren't in the user's or instal. manuals.

Cheers,
Mike
