What is the difference in RCA patch cords and interconnects??

I want  a good cable for a subwoofer amp  but  can't spend a fortune.  Any help or suggenstions?   Also who makes some good quality amp installation kits?     Phoenix Gold, Rockford Fosgate, Lightning Audio, Streetwires, Monster, etc.????

i think it is mostly about preference, most people use shielded cords, personally i just go to radio-shack and buy their 20' RCA's that are ment for home and stick them in my car.

I 2nd bfog99, I get all my cables from Knukonceptz and they are very high quality and affordable. The same cable from a different manufacture would cost double or triple the price

"Interconnects" started out simply as a brand name used by Monster Cable.  The difference between brands is in construction, but most people cannot hear any difference.  I also like Knukonceptz, as mentioned above.

I prefer  "Stinger" but have also used Radio Shack, in a clean install you won't be able to see the ugly cords, if they are exposed, dress them up to look good. It's all personal preference.
