i have a 1501 bd amp is 16 gauge wire big enough for the sub to amp wires?  plus what is matrix signal cables? are those rca's?  plus on my amp it does have a flat plat to screw down on all the wries grd pwr an spkr. so  do i have to get male connecters or something or can i screw the screws on to the wires themselves? thanks all.

16 gage is fine.  Matrix is a brand name for Rockford Fosgate RCA cables.  You don't have to use those.  Yes, simply twist the wires tight (or tin them with solder) and slip each one under the proper screw-down terminal plate, then tighten the screw.  Make sure you disconnect your car battery positive cable before you install the amp.

i'm not that slow not to disconnect the ampposted_image  but my amp doesn't have a plate it's a hole with a screw on top that u screw into the wire bue bare wie is ok hu?
