What are the symptoms of an HU having a bad ground, and whats a good way to test? I installed my Eclipse CD8443 with a amplified antenna adapter, and i feel i have worse FM reception than I did with the stock radio..........someone said that its possibly trying to ground thru my antenna.

Just trying to figure out how I could check this.

You could do a couple of things... try taking your ground wire from your HU and ground it to the chasis of the car, not a piece of metal behind the HU or on the HU.  The other side to this is that sometimes those amplified antennas can make things worse, and I know for sure that amplified antennas usually boost the AM more than the FM stations.  Or at least that's what I have notice 7 out of 8 cars I installed them on at Circuit City.  Hope that helps...
