I have a Kenwood amplifier and everytime I try to power it, it blows the fuse. What could this be? A power and ground touching inside?

That is possible, but the most common reason for this is improper grounding of the amp itself.

Or a dead short internally in the amplifier.

Forbidden, what do you mean a dead short? How much would it cost to fix?
