I have a friend who is going to buy a Power Acoustik LT-960/4. I asked to him to wait on the purchase while I consulted the experts....
Some Specs
    * Amplifier Type: Multi-Channel
    * RMS Power: 100W x 4
    * Bridged RMS Power: 250W x 2
    * THD at Rated RMS Power: 0.02 %
    * Speaker Level Inputs: No
    * Preamp Outputs: Yes
    * Built-In Crossovers: HP/LP
    * Bass Boost: 0 - 24 dB
    * Frequency Response: 10-30,000 Hz
    * Channel Separation: n/a
    * Signal to Noise Ratio: 98 dB
    * Fuse Rating: n/a

$109.00 on Amazon. He is of course on a budget, (even tighter than mine) and I'm trying to make sure he's not getting screwed. His speakers are rated 50Wx4RMS. They are matching Kenwoods or Pioneers (he doesn't remember)from Best Buy.

Any opinions on Power Acoustic? Is this a "flea-market" brand?

Here is a question for myself...
How is Phoenix Gold's Tantrum Series? 600.4 in particular. (75x4)

I had one in my car as a backup because my regular amp blew up and it got stolen. so in other words it's good enough for someone to steal.

for the money I would look into finding a leftover stock from last year.  I sell the Power Acoustic and I am not impressed.

Thanks a lot. I had my doubts, but now I'm definitely going to steer him in a new direction.
