I have a customer who has a JVC CH-X1000RF CD Changer running off of the factory deck with the RF-Mod.  They would like to upgrade to an aftermarket JVC deck but would like to control the changer through the deck and do away with the FM-Mod.  Does anyone know if this changer will work if the FM-mod is not used and the changer is plugged directly into the new JVC radio? (if you take away the FM-mod, is this the same changer as the CH-X1000?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, they should be exactly the same only the RF model comes with the FM modulator. As long as it's a JVC head unit with changer controls and it will accept the 8pin cable it should work.
