A friend of mine has recently done something that I'm not sure of how to fix.

She has a 2003 Hyundai Elantra that came with a factory Clarion CD player. She accidently inserted her Parking Pass(a flat peice of plastic) into the CD player!!! Now it won't come out...

I have no idea how she did that...but she did.

Is there any way I can get it out now? Do I have to remove it and take it apart or is there some type of reset button on it etc..??

Also, I've looked online but can't find ANYWHERE that discusses how to remove the factory CD player...I really like installdr.com but it doesn't have a single Hyundai car listed...

I'd try a pair of tweezers or thin needle nose pliers and see if you can grab the card through the CD slot. Short of that, you should take the car back to the dealer. I assume it's still under warranty? They might not charge you for replacing the deck if it's gone.

To remove the CD player on that year of elantra, you have to pull off the dash bezel around it. There are like 2 screws above the instrument cluster, and (I think) a couple in the ashtray or somewhere down below. All the switches just unplug - it's nice, not like old Hyundais where you had to disconnect all the heater cables.

As a matter of fact it wasn't even a "friend" retard...it was a co-worker who I don't even REALLY know...

Why would my ID be "GMrulz4u" if I drove a peice of sh*t Hyundai Elantra??
