this amp claims like 500w rms and 1000w max at 2ohm. its pioneers biggest mono amp. i got it and its tiny. do class d amps pack that more punch than ab amps?

that amp is rated 300Wx1 rms at 4 ohms and 600Wx1 rms at 2 ohms

no way pardner, 1000wx1 max @ 2ohm 600x1 @ 4ohm

  Your comparin apples and oranges.  Sebastian's talkin RMS wattage and dudek's talkin max wattage.  Your both probably right.  But those ratings sound a little padded for an amp that small and in that price range.

You have to look at rms, My friend got one pushing two 12" at 2 ohms. SOunds all right but I dont think hes getting 600W rms, Its doesnt sound that hard,..
