Does anybody know how to make this system sound better using the oem amp.  I have a Kenwood head unit and it used to sound much better with the old system.

All the hook ups are made properly.  I am using the infinity amp with the Kenwood unit.

any suggestions anybody?

thanx a lot.

The interface you should be using with that factory amp should have a gain control on it. You should try adjusting this. You could bypass the factory amp if you want to run new wires, but i would just buy some new speakers and bypass the factory amp (and maybe add an external amp also).

If you decide to buy new speakers, you don't have to run new wire.  At each speaker, there are 6 wires,  two of them are coming directly from the radio.  Find these, cut,  and connect them directly to the new speakers.
