got a quick question, since i've never mounted an amp this way before and wanted to make sure it was ok before i go ahead and mount it like this.. so, is it ok to directly mount an amp to the back of the metal frame of a rear seat?? i've always mounted them to mdf, and then mounted the mdf to something else, but i just wanted to make sure the amp wouldn't short out or anything.. because it's connected directly to the metal back of a seat.. amp's are a jl 300/4 and a jbl bp1200.1 .. also pics of install's against seat backs would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

Yes you can mount an amp like this if you need to, however it will create an additional ground circuit and open the door to the possibility of noise. I prefer to mount my amp to mdf and the mdf to the seat, taking care not to use screws too long or have the mounting screws from the mdf make contact with the amp.
