95 eagle talon radio

i have a 95 eagle talon, and i can;t figure how how to hook up a panasonic cd player to it, ther eis no red power wire, and there are like 3 different black wires,(which are usually for ground) if anyone knows that would be great thanks

run your own power and grounds right from the batt. be sure to fuse the 12vdv lead.

Use a voltmeter or a 12 volt test probe to find your "hot" wire. Be sure to check for "hot" wires when the ignition is on, too. That way you don't have your HU on when you don't want it on.

how do i fuse the wire, i just run a wire form the battery to the red wire on the deck and hook them up, what kind of fuse? i dunn ohow to do that

Does this car not have the factory wire harness plug in it anymore? If it does and you haven't cut the wires yet then get the correct plug adapter ( https://www.crutchfield.com/S-SAXxT6lamhX/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=11&g=103000&I=120707001&o=p&a=1&cc=01&avf=Y

To answer your question, the easiest way to fuse a wire is to get a fuse holder ( https://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=079-110 )and connect it in between your power souce (for example: the battery) and it's destination (in your case the radio's yellow wire).

But you may not need to do all that if the harness is still in the car or if the wires are at least still in the hole where the radio goes.

If the wires are still there, get a digital multimeter, set it to volts, and without the key in the ignition connect the red lead from the meter to a wire and connect the black to a solid metal part of the car (the door bolts always seemed to work for me). Connect the read to every wire until the meter gives you a reading of 12 or more volts. when it does, that's the wire you connect the yellow wire on you Panasonic to. Then put the key in and turn the ignition to the "on" or "acc" position and do the same process again. When you find another wire that only gives 12 volts to you meter when the key is in , that is the wire you connect the red wire on your radio to. Your car should have similar wiring to a Neon and there should be a silver braided ground strap somewhere in there, that's what you connect the black ground wire to (or you could just ground it to the car's body).

Exactly. Check the parts express link in my previous post. Or you can go to your local auto parts store or car audio shop and get one. Also, here's ( https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1995-97&make=Eagle&model=Talon&ID=17708&type=Stereo) the wiring info for that car. It should be similar or the same setup to a 95 eclipse (they are the same car). Hopefully the car still has some of the wires mentioned in the diagram. It shouldn't be too hard though. I've hard wired (which is what you're doing) many cars/trucks. The hard part is really finding the two 12 volt wires. After that, You could just run a ground and new speaker wires. The factory ones are usually too thin anyway.    What you also may want to do is get and Haynes or Chilton's manual . Those books usually have the complete and correct wiring schematic for the car.
