Are there kits available which will allow me to nicely place two DIN size decks in the dash? I have seen kits in walmart but they are for one deck only. Mine is 1986 toyota 4runner and it has enough space to put 2 decks. Thanks!

Does the truck have the orignal deck in it? Or just one aftermarket radio? You usually don't need a dash kit for toyotas and nissans because alot of new decks already have the holes for those cars. If the truck still has the factory bracket in the dash just take out the pocket and you should be able to put in 2 decks. Although you might not be able to use the little trim rings on them. Or better yet....just get a double din deck and be done.

Ya, the easiest way to do it is to use the factory brackets and just bolt in the other head units. If you dont have the brackets you can probally get them from a wrecker. To my knowledge there is no kit for it.

Correct on both counts, there is no kit and you need the factory Toyota radio mounting brackets. What are you planning on doing with two head units, they cannot just be simply wired up together. This will lead to blown equipment.

I am planning to buy a speaker switch ( it is around 38 dollars from crutchfield, https://www.crutchfield.com/S-dBmbakfQzWY/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=11&g=81600&I=469MPSS4&o=p&a=0&cc=01&avf=N
) which will allow me to switch back and forth betn the cd and the cassette player. ( as per suggestions from all including you in this question https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=30660&KW=cassette)

I dont know much abt relays and thought this would be the easiest option for me. but if someone knows a place where I can buy similar switch at a cheaper price, that ll be great!!!

Well, if you going to use that you may also need to get LOCs (4) for both radios to keep the fade control from both radios intact. But if they both have at least 2 sets of RCA outputs (front and rear) then you won't need them. The LOCs could cause distortion. Or you can get a couple of remote RCA fader controls to operate them. Easier to just get a double din unit.
